In the autumn of 2018, I looked at the aftermath of the state of emergency in Paris, which lasted from the Charlie Hebdo attacks in 2015 until the end of 2017. What remains after the initial state of high alert has ebbed away? What characterizes the post-emergency mundane? I collected promotional videos of mobile anti-terrorist roadblock manufacturers and media footage of terrorists’ private spaces that are floating around the internet. I turned my studio at the Cité internationale des arts into a gamers’ cave – an uncanny parallel universe to the secluded private space of the lone wolf terrorist –  and made a truck racing game with 3D scans of roadblocks next to the Notre Dame cathedral.
